I love any excuse to go all out and decorate my house, adding pretty little details here or there and making things fun for my kids - ESPECIALLY around holidays like Easter, Christmas, and Halloween. But as a busy mom to four, I rarely get around to it, despite my very best intentions.

This year, I started saving up quick and easy Halloween decor ideas on a dedicated Pinterest board a good two or three months ago, and I've finally had a chance to go through them and pick a few favourites. These are easy, budget-friendly DIYs that I can do with my kids, using mostly things we already have around the house. How gorgeous are Oak and Oats' handprint monsters (above)?! Definitely doing this easy craft with my toddlers this weekend!

I also adore this quick and easy ghost garland that I stumbled upon on A Beautiful Mess. I already have a stash of cream and white wool tucked away in a box in our spare room, and I think this will be a good use for them. It's a project that the tweens can help me with, and we can put it away for use again next year.

Here's another example I found over on The Kristyn Cole blog. So cute! She has a whole backlog of amazing Halloween DIY projects to choose from, including these super-cute and easy ghost footprints (see below) that I plan on doing with the twins. How cute would it be to frame these and add to our gallery wall?

Speaking of which, what about a super-spooky ghost gallery wall? Old frames are a common find at most second-hand and thrift stores, so it should be easy enough to find a selection. Get your little ones to paint or stick paper ghosts on old wrapping paper or newspaper, and voila! A relatively quick and easy gallery wall that can be used for years to come.

I also love these sweet salt dough ghost handprints... I think I might make these an annual Halloween tradition and watch the little hands grow in years to come.

And now that I've found myself down a Pinterest rabbit hole (you can follow me here, if you'd like), I'm off to start my Christmas decor Pinterest boards!
